(Cloquet, MN) — Investigators are still trying to determine what led to a deadly shooting in Cloquet earlier this month. Police gave an update yesterday on their investigation into the January 8th shooting at a Super 8 motel. Thirty-two-year-old Nicholas Lenius of Ramsey died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after reportedly shooting and killing a motel employee and a man sitting in a vehicle outside the motel. Investigators have so far found no connection between the shooter and the two people he killed. Police say they are focusing on evidence found at the scene and are awaiting the final autopsy report for the suspect.
