Teen Charged With Striking, Killing Man While Driving Stolen Vehicle

(St. Cloud, MN) — A 16-year-old is facing charges after allegedly hitting and killing a man while driving a stolen vehicle. The Stearns County Attorney’s Office charged the teen yesterday with one count each of first- and second-degree murder. The charges stem from the death of a 70-year-old man Friday. Prosecutors say the teen allegedly admitted to stealing the vehicle and intentionally hitting the man who was walking on the sidewalk in the 17-hundred block of Sixth Avenue North. The teen’s bail has been set at two-million dollars.
