(Little Falls, MN) — Investigators have found evidence of chemical contamination in wells located near a central Minnesota National Guard facility. A spokesperson says 30 wells on property near Camp Ridley were recently tested for PFAS. The chemicals are contained in firefighting foam that was used for training at the facility until 2017 and are considered a health hazard. One well tested above the federal limit for PFAS, and the spokesperson said a permanent filtration system for that property is being organized for the property. Other wells will be tested quarterly to make sure the water is safe to drink.
