Two Charged In New Hope Stabbing

(New Hope, MN) — Two people are charged in connection with a stabbing in New Hope. Kristy Marie Hanson and Chong Vang are facing attempted first-degree murder charges, stemming from an incident in which a victim was stabbed multiple times at Civic Center Park last month. Hanson allegedly implicated the victim in a sexual assault, and Vang is accused of following him to the park from a gas station before attacking him. The stabbing victim suffered serious injuries, including an injured carotid artery and two punctured lungs. Hanson and Vang are due to make their first court appearance this afternoon.
