(Creston, IA) — A candlelight vigil will be held tonight to remember two Southwestern Community College students killed in a recent accident. Tonight’s vigil for Halsie Barnes and Ella Leonard will take place on the softball field of SWCC’s Creston campus at 8:15 p.m. The two 19-year-olds were in a car with two other women when it ran a stop sign and was struck by a truck near Highway 34 in Union County Friday night. The two other women in the car ended up with critical injuries. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
