(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota’s attorney general has reached an agreement with a Stearns County dairy to pay workers properly during an ongoing lawsuit. The state Attorney General’s Office sued the Evergreen Acres Dairy in January, accusing the business of illegally withholding at least three-million dollars in pay and charging rent for substandard housing. Attorney General Keith Ellison announced yesterday that the dairy has agreed to pay workers properly, improve documentation and stop making deductions without worker permission. The agreement will remain in place while the state pursues its lawsuit against the dairy.
