(Sioux Falls, SD) — Eleven inmates at the South Dakota Penitentiary are pleading not guilty in connection to a disturbance that occurred in March. The inmates are facing a combined 18 felony charges that include aggravated assault, damage to prison property and starting fires within the prison. If they’re found guilty, their current sentences could be increased. All eleven inmates are set to appear in court the week of August 12th.
