437 Project Sends Off Runners For Journey Across South Dakota

(Pierre, SD) — Twelve runners are crossing South Dakota on a mission to prevent suicide in the second annual 437 Project. It begins Thursday morning near the Wyoming border. The runners will complete their journey as a relay from west to east, finishing in Sioux Falls on Sunday. Many of them say they have been directly affected by suicide in some way. Last year, the event raised over 120-thousand dollars for the Helpline Center, which is the only accredited suicide crisis center in South Dakota.
