53rd Rapid City Clean Up Week

(Rapid City, SD) — Rapid City’s 53rd annual clean-up week is underway in honor of Earth Day. Areas are being mapped out that need work by several different folks and organizations. Those groups are taking a few hours out of their days to pick up garbage around the city. Mayor Jason Salamun says it’s important to make sure the area remains beautiful. According to officials, last year’s Clean Up Week collected eight-hundred tons of material, and this year they expect to clean up even more.
