Air Quality Alerts Issued In Several States Due To Canadian Wildfires

(Undated) — Air quality alerts were issued for several U.S states on Sunday due to thick smoke from Canadian wildfires. The National Weather Service said those included much of Montana, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana. On Sunday afternoon, officials labeled the air quality in cities like Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, and Des Moines as “unhealthy.” There were nearly 900 active wildfires across Canada over the weekend.
