(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota dispatchers have helped bring four new lives into the world. In the first three months of 2024, operators for Metro Communications have walked new parents through their unplanned home delivery. Operator Conrad Dahl says he takes a deep sigh of relief when he hears babies cry. Metro Supervisor of Quality Assurance Tim Schleis says they have a tree of life in the center to celebrate lifesaving opportunities and they make sure to recognize the operators who took those stressful calls.
