Abortion Rights Advocates Host Petition Signing Event At BHSU

(Rapid City, SD) — Abortion rights advocates are reaching out to people at Black Hills State University. Sisters United and the BHSU Democratic Club partnered to host a petition signing event in the Student Union over the weekend. Petitioners are seeking the restoration of abortion access in South Dakota. A member of the BHSU Democratic Club called South Dakota’s trigger law banning nearly all abortions “oppression.” Organizers say the Sisters United office will be open in Spearfish on Mondays starting in May.
