(Pierre, SD) — Attorney General Marty Jackley is warning South Dakotans to watch out for storm repair scams. He released a statement late last week in response to reports of folks being taken advantage of after recent severe weather. Jackley says it looks like there’s some repair companies have popped up overnight. The advice from the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division is to not rush into any decisions, no matter how good the deal may seem. It’s also important to request a written contract, receipt, and the company’s South Dakota tax license.
