(Pierre, SD) — The arts and culture industry has a major economic impact on South Dakota. It generated 363-million dollars in 2022, according to an economic impact study conducted by Americans for the Arts. The industry also supported more than six-thousand jobs that year. The South Dakota Arts Council, Arts South Dakota, and arts agencies in Aberdeen, Brookings, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, and Yankton also helped with the study.
