Attorney General’s Office Investigating State Employee’s “Suspicious Activity”

(Pierre, SD) — The state Attorney General’s office is investigating what it calls a “criminal matter” involving a state agency. The Department of Revenue confirmed in a statement to the Argus Leader that an employee was fired after “an act of suspicious activity” was discovered. The statement added that the case has been turned over to the state Division of Criminal Investigation and the Department of Legislative Audit. This marks the second time in barely a month the D-C-I has investigated a Department of Revenue employee.
