(Pierre, SD) — Avera Health is aiming to keep more patients in Sioux Falls with its largest-ever expansion. One of the region’s biggest healthcare systems announced massive upgrades yesterday. The plans center around Avera’s main campus on Cliff Avenue and the campus on 69th and Louise. A new six-story tower at the main hospital and a new three-story building will be added at the other campus. The new tower will be a focused area for women’s and children’s services while the expansion at Avera Louise will be for digestive health. These combined projects of 350-thousand square feet are estimated to cost 245 million dollars.
