(Box Elder, SD) — B-1 Lancer bombers are coming back to Ellsworth Air Force Base after the Air Force moved the fleet to Texas at the end of January. Some have already returned while the rest trickle in to close out the week. The move had been made so missions could be flown at Dyess Air Force Base while the investigation continues into the January 4th bomber crash at Ellsworth. There’s no word on when that will come to a conclusion. Ellsworth bombers, flying out of Dyess, were part of the strike package last Friday that hit various terrorist sites in Iraq and Syria.
