(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Brandon man is being charged with the death of a motorcyclist after a crash late Saturday night in Sioux Falls. Twenty-nine-year-old Jonathan Paulsness lost his life after 37-year-old Anthony Surdez was making a left turn in his SUV in front of the motorcycle. It happened at Arrowhead Drive and Veterans Parkway, on the eastern edge of the city. Rather than waiting for police to arrive, investigators say Surdez drove home, and Brandon police arrested him there. He faces numerous charges, including vehicular homicide, DUI — his fifth since 2008 — and hit and run.
