(Sioux Falls, SD) — The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs is dedicating a bridge on Veteran’s Day to honor a fallen soldier. The SD 46 bridge over the Vermillion River will be dedicated to U-S Army First Lieutenant Josef L. Thorne. In 1965, Thorne’s helicopter was shot down over South Vietnam, killing everyone on board. The dedication ceremony will take place Monday, November 11th at Beresford High School.
