(Brookings, SD) — A 25-million-dollar senior care facility is coming to Brookings. The ground-breaking ceremony on the state-of-the-art facility called ‘Peaceful Pines’ was held Tuesday. Kirk Simet, CEO of Peaceful Pines, says the facility will combine independent living, assisted living and memory care under the same roof. It will be the first center in South Dakota to use the latest preventative care technology with residents. The project will also create more than 30 new jobs and is expected to open in the fall of 2024.
