Canton Nurse Charged With Obtaining Controlled Substances, Tampering With Products

(Canton, SD) — A Canton nurse is being indicted by a federal grand jury. Brittany Enstad, a 39-year-old Tea woman, is accused of tampering with consumer products and obtaining controlled substances by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception and subterfuge, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. She allegedly removed medications from blister packs containing substances like Oxycodone and replacing them with other medications while working as a registered nurse in a medical facility in Canton. The indictment didn’t say which facility, but the nurse faces eight total counts.
