(Rapid City, SD) — The Children’s Home Society is launching an expansion into Rapid City. The state’s oldest nonprofit has served the Black Hills community and children for more than a 130 years. Children’s Home Society’s Rapid City branch is expected to be up and running by the middle of 2026. The nonprofit plans to move into the old National American University building. Organizers say the expansion will help them be able to work with students in the district better.
