(Sioux Falls, SD) — A family in rural Minnehaha County is without a home after a fire broke out on Christmas Eve. Crews responded to the area of 484th Avenue and 246th Street, about ten miles west of Dell Rapids. That’s where they found a home with its garage fully engulfed in flames. The fire was already spreading to the house, despite efforts from multiple agencies. Those included crews from Dell Rapids, Jasper, Trent and Garretson. The home was deemed a total loss, but there were no injuries reported after everyone was able to evacuate safely. No details have been shared yet on ways to assist the family.
