(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota is one step closer to stricter requirements for hunting and fishing licenses. It comes after the Senate passed a bill unanimously on Wednesday, which is designed to benefit actual residents. Under the bill, an applicant must have been in South Dakota 90 days before their application and claim no other home to qualify for an in-state license. A state driver’s license or registered vehicle are indicators of residency. The bill now goes to the House for final approval.
