(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota Republican Congressman Dusty Johnson says he doesn’t have an opinion yet on the latest bipartisan border deal. Johnson told KELOLAND News yesterday that he hasn’t gotten a chance to read the legislation. “I haven’t seen any text. I don’t know what’s in the Gosh, darn thing,” he said. However, he does still strongly side with securing the border as long as it’s done properly. House Republicans and former president Donald Trump have spoken out against the deal currently in contention that would include border enforcement, immigration policies, and wartime aid for Ukraine.
