(Pierre, SD) — The results of a statewide audit of the 2024 primary elections are in. And overwhelmingly, they show no discrepancies from the manually counted post-election audit — compared to what machines tabulated on election night. The few discrepancies were generally one to two votes. South Dakota Secretary of State Monae L. Johnson says the transparency and accuracy of the audit results should reinforce every voter’s belief their vote mattered and was counted accurately.
