(Yankton, SD) — One man is dead and another has life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning near Yankton. The Department of Public Safety says a 30-year-old man was traveling westbound on SD Highway 50 near mile marker 75 when he hit a deer lying in the roadway. He then lost control of the 2008 Chevy Cobalt he was driving and collided with another vehicle driven by a 58-year-old man traveling eastbound. The driver of the 2008 Cobalt died from his injuries. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
