(Wind Cave National Park, SD) — Firefighters are close to getting a wildfire contained near Wind Cave National Park in the Southern Black Hills. The National Park Service says the Limestone Fire was sparked by lightning early Saturday afternoon and had grown to more than 13 aces before firefighters got a handle on it. Two aircraft, including an air tanker, were called in to help fight the blaze. The fire broke out about two miles northeast of the park’s visitor center. The NPS says there were no injuries or structures threatened.
