(Sioux Falls, SD) — A University of South Dakota political science professor believes Governor Noem’s national workforce recruitment campaign will fail because of her dog story controversy. Mike Card says the story has gained negative attention from both sides of the political spectrum and he thinks it ends the campaign as it is. The ad is aimed at potential residents from other states and it showcases the benefits of living and working in South Dakota. State Democrat Drey Samuelson agrees with Card and thinks the future of the Freedom Works Here campaign “is as dead as Noem’s past dog, Cricket.” The Governor’s Office of Economic Development says the campaign will continue forward at “an unprecedented level.”
