(Crooks, SD) — A man from Crooks, South Dakota, is in the hospital with extreme frostbite on both of his hands. Aaron Gray had to be airlifted to a burn center in Minneapolis last Sunday. His family says he was walking outside near his home Saturday night when he slipped and fell on ice and hit his head. Gray spent close to 30 minutes outside with no hat or gloves on. He now faces partial amputation as doctors look at the extent of his tissue damage.
