Crowd Rallies In Sioux Falls In Support Of Transgender Rights

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A group in Sioux Falls is rallying for trans rights across South Dakota. People gathered Wednesday night at Van Epps Park in the city. It comes ahead of Pride Month celebrations on Saturday, and the Human Rights Campaign’s recent declaration of a national state of emergency for LGBTQ-plus Americans. The South Dakota Legislature passed HB 10-80 in February, which bans gender affirming care for minors. Governor Noem signed the law, and it will go into effect on July 1st.
