Dawn Marie Johnson Takes Sioux Falls School Board In Landslide Race

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Dawn Marie Johnson is the newest member of the Sioux Falls School District Board of Education. Johnson secured enough votes late Tuesday night to call the race. She will take Cynthia Mickelson’s seat by July 10th, because Mickelson’s term ends June 30th. The district says of the nearly one-hundred-24-thousand registered voters in the Sioux Falls School District, only just over seven-thousand went to the polls to cast their vote. That accounts for just over a six-percent turnout.
