DOH Workforce And Education Center Breaks Ground In Pierre

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota health officials say a new state-of-the-art facility in Pierre will help expand educational opportunities, specifically in the public health sector. The Department of Health broke ground on a new Workforce and Education Center yesterday in the state’s capital. Leaders are hoping the center encourages greater public engagement and sets new standards for workforce education initiatives. It includes the construction of a new two-story laboratory facility and an administrative services and training building. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
