Drought Conditions Improved Across South Dakota

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota’s ongoing battle with drought conditions is looking better after the recent winter weather storm. The eastern part of the state received up to two inches of moisture in the past week. Most of that fell over Sunday and Monday after some folks didn’t experience any rain or snow for over a month. The drought monitor shows significant improvement after this week, with the moderate conditions diminished through much of the state. But the impact drops moving over into central and western South Dakota.
