Elkton School Board Considers Resignations Of Superintendent And Teacher

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A South Dakota school board is deciding whether or not to accept the resignation of a superintendent and teacher after a registered sex offender was invited as a guest speaker. The Elkton School Board held a meeting yesterday to hear different perspectives from the public. Some attendees showed support for Superintendent Brian Jandahl by saying the incident has been blown out of proportion. One woman spoke on behalf of few other parents, saying Jandahl and teacher, Taylor Thompson need to be held accountable for the mistake. In a unanimous vote, the school board accepted the resignation of Thompson and rejected Jandahl’s.
