(Elkton, SD) — The Elkton School Board is introducing new rules for classroom visitors. This comes after finding out a registered sex offender was recently a guest speaker for a class. After a special school board meeting Wednesday night, both the teacher who invited Andrew Polly to the school and the superintendent have offered to resign. The Elkton School Board is now considering changes of increased visitor oversight and another rule to allow the board to ban individuals from school grounds. Polly was charged with loitering in a safe zone after being at the Elkton school.
