(Sioux Falls, SD) — An ex-Sioux Falls dance teacher is going to prison. Kevin Thongvanh [[ Tong – von ]] pleaded guilty to sex crimes for inappropriate behavior with students. He was sentenced to 12 years for three total counts of sexually soliciting a minor. Thongvanh’s inappropriate interactions allegedly began in 2001 when he touched a student and sent her sexual messages on Snapchat. Two years later, he was arrested while working as an assistant dance coach at Roosevelt High School when the principal reported him for sending sexual messages to a student there. Investigations found there has been at least three victims involved in Thongvanh’s inappropriate actions since 2021.
