Excessive Rain Impacting Community

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Heavy rain in the South Dakota area is impacting the agriculture industry. While excess rain is typically welcomed for crops in the area, farmers are not happy with the recent numbers, with nearly four inches of precipitation above normal in Sioux Falls. According to the National Weather Service, that makes this year the sixth-wettest on record. Arny Erickson, a farmer in Valley Springs, says the rain has made grass so tall, he can’t even see cows in his pastures.
