Fire Conditions To Improve From Cooler Weather

(Rapid City, SD) — Cooler weather is improving fire conditions in Western South Dakota for the moment. Temperatures are forecasted to drop over the next couple of days after hundred-degree weather earlier this week. But that may change quickly as the heat is expected to return next week. The Black Hills region has been affected by several fires throughout the summer. Hazy skies from the First Thunder Fire could be seen over Rapid City yesterday.
