(Pierre, SD) — The ongoing fire danger in South Dakota is showing no signs of improvement. Most of the state is dealing with near-critical fire weather conditions throughout the day. Gusty winds and low humidity won’t be helping what is already very dry terrain and grass in many areas. High fire danger is being alerted in central, east central, south central and southeast South Dakota. The National Weather Service and first responders are urging people to avoid doing any activities that may spark a fire.
