(Sioux Falls, SD) — Five people are recovering after a crash involving juveniles near a Sioux Falls high school yesterday morning. Four of them are juveniles with two seriously hurt, including a young pedestrian. It happened on the street in front of Roosevelt High at the intersection of 41st Street and Sertoma Avenue. Police say a crossover tried to turn in front of an on-coming SUV and collided. The vehicles came to rest on the corner of the intersection, striking the pedestrian. Their injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening. However, a young passenger in the SUV was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but is currently considered stable. Police have yet to determine who was wearing seatbelts or if speed or impairment were factors as an investigation into the crash continues.
