(Flandreau, SD) — One of the last remaining South Dakota native tribes that hasn’t banned Governor Noem is having serious discussions to join the list. The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Council held a meeting with the public over the weekend to get input from its residents. Tribal Chairman Tony Reider says they wants to stand united with the rest of the tribes in the state, but also wanted to do their due diligence by hearing different points of view and opinions. The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Council is looking to make a decision sometime this week. If the tribe decides to ban the governor, they would be the ninth and final tribe to at least support a ban against her while a committee with the Yankton Sioux Tribe still just supports banning Noem.
