(Pierre, SD) — Health officials are warning that the flu still hasn’t peaked yet in South Dakota. Sanford Chief Physician Dr. Jeremy Cauwels says Sanford doctors are seeing more cases. There was an obvious spike over the holiday season due to family and social gatherings. But Cauwels says there’s still time to get a flu shot and stay protected for the rest of the winter season. The flu has put over two-hundred people in South Dakota’s hospitals, including nine deaths reported.
