Former SD Senator Returns Home To Stay

(Sioux Fall, SD) — Former U.S. Senator Larry Pressler is back in South Dakota for good. Pressler, a South Dakota native, represented the state in both the House and Senate for more than 20 years. Originally from Humboldt, he is now settling into a senior living community on Lake Lorraine. Pressler lived in the Washington, D.C. area for a long time after leaving the U.S. Senate in 1997, but he unfortunately lost his wife last year. The 82-year-old says he’s grateful for all the support South Dakotans have given him over the years and the warm welcome he’s received coming back home.
