(Sioux Falls, SD) — A former Sioux Falls mayoral candidate is dealing with legal trouble yet again. David Zokaites [[ Zo – kye – tis ]] was arrested for allegedly violating a protection order and had a court appearance yesterday. This charge comes just three weeks after he was accused of assaulting a woman and interfering with emergency communication. Zokaites was released yesterday after a judge’s decision without having to pay bond. The 62-year-old has run for Sioux Falls Mayor twice and most recently ran for a seat on the Sioux Falls city council.
