(Pierre, SD) — A fugitive wanted in three states is now in custody after being found in Pierre over the weekend. An off-duty Hughes County Deputy sheriff spotted 39-year-old Terry Lee Schoenhut at a local business. He was wanted in Nebraska, Iowa, and in both South Dakota Pennington and Tripp counties for several different charges. Schoenhut was believed to be potentially armed and dangerous having a history of resisting law enforcement, but was arrested without incident this time.
