(Pierre, SD) — A new appointment for Governor Noem. The second-term Republican has named Abbey Howard to the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court. Howard is from Volga as well as a SDSU and USD alum. Noem deemed Howard qualified from her current experience, adding “she was raised with service to others as a foundational principle.” Howard has been serving as a Magistrate Judge in the Third Judicial Circuit where she’s handled court in Brookings, Beadle, Codington, Lake, and Moody Counties since 2018.
