Gov. Noem Faces Another Tribe Ban

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Kristi Noem is facing yet another South Dakota tribal ban. The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe has plans for an emergency meeting on Saturday over whether they will follow in the steps of other native tribes in the state. They have moved up that meeting to this weekend after originally stating they would meet Tuesday next week. The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe is the last remaining South Dakota tribe that hasn’t barred or held discussions to banish Governor Noem from its lands.
