(Pierre, SD) — Leaders from two Native American tribes are calling out Governor Noem. It’s because of her comments about their reservations during a town hall last week. Noem said she believes some tribal leaders are benefiting from drug cartels being on their land. The leaders of the Crow Creek and Rosebud Sioux Tribes are saying the comments were malicious, racist and defamatory. They are asking Noem to provide evidence for her claims. But her office gave a statement in response saying the tribal leaders aren’t responding to the Governor’s calls and challenged the tribes to prove her comments false by banishing the drug cartels from their reservations.
