Governor Noem Launches New $5M Workforce Campaign

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Noem is launching a new nationwide campaign to recruit workers to South Dakota called “Freedom Works Here.” She dresses as a plumber and dentist in two separate videos part of the five-million-dollar workforce project. The goal is to fill 25-thousand open jobs in the state and recruit “freedom-loving people from all over America to live and work in South Dakota.” The ad campaign will run through Labor Day with funding coming from the Future Fund, developed after the 1980s recession to encourage investing in the state’s workforce and economy.
